Do I need any special skills or experience?
Not at all! Tasks on CityMatch range from beginner-friendly to those requiring specific skills. You can filter tasks based on your experience level and interests. Many tasks are perfect for first-time volunteers.
How much time do I need to commit?
That's entirely up to you! Tasks vary in duration from one-time events lasting an hour to ongoing commitments. You can browse tasks and choose ones that fit your schedule and availability.
What if I can't complete a task I committed to?
Life happens! If you need to cancel, please notify the task organizer as soon as possible through the app. This helps them find alternative volunteers and keeps the community running smoothly.
How do I know tasks are legitimate and safe?
All task organizers are verified, and we have community guidelines in place. You can read reviews from other volunteers, and we encourage meeting in public places. If something feels off, report it to our team immediately.
Can I create my own tasks?
Absolutely! Once you've completed a few tasks and are familiar with the platform, you can create your own community improvement tasks. Just head to the "Create Task" section in your dashboard.
